My approach

I take an integrated approach to psychotherapeutic care and intuitively develop a plan that works collaboratively with each client. I believe that creating the right conditions for personal growth will facilitate positive changes in one’s life and relationships with self and others.

I draw upon principles of person-centred, mindfulness-based (ACT), self compassion, emotion-focused therapy (EFT), psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), parts work (Internal Family Systems), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT) and existential therapy. I also attend to the spiritual dimension of the human experience for those interested in exploring ways in which spirituality is connected to healing.

Creating an inclusive space is important to my practice, and I welcome clients from all walks of life and those who wish to process experiences of marginalization. I will help you gain clarity of your own thoughts, emotions and actions, help you develop healthier and more satisfying relationships, and work with you towards building a life aligned to your highest values.

Life is a journey of self-discovery. I will walk alongside you on your exploratory path.

Types of therapy

  • Integrated psychotherapy

With an integrated approach, I take aspects of several psychotherapeutic modalities to tailor therapy to your unique needs. Central modalities I use are Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), parts work (Jungian, Internal Family Systems), mindfulness-based modalities (ACT and compassion-focused), and narrative therapy.

  • Evidence-based modalities

I use evidence-based modalities to help you address the deeper issues which underlie your presenting concerns. I will facilitate the exploration of meaning, purpose, hope, identity, connection, and grief which are universal to our human experience. I will guide you toward aligning your actions with your core values to create meaningful life experiences and expanded consciousness.

  • Mindfulness

Mindfulness and wellness align to create a state of calm, connectedness, authenticity and greater sense of awareness. Integrating mindfulness practices into psychotherapy, I will guide you toward increased self-awareness, acceptance, loving kindness, and a deeper connection to yourself and others. Developing self-compassion will help you restore a sense of inner peace.
